Hardox400 wear resistant plate can be cut by ordinary flame, plasma, laser and water jet. However, flame cutting wear-resistant plate will cause a certain range of wear-resistant plate around the incision hardness decline, so if the incision hardness requirements are high, try to use plasma cutting.
Plasma cutting wear-resistant plate is a cutting method with the highest cost performance. When plasma cutting wear-resistant plate, attention should be paid to the use of cooling water for cooling, which can better reduce the impact of high temperature on the hardness reduction of wear-resistant plate. Water knife cutting wear plate is the best way, of course, to be able to accept the high price of water knife cutting.
When bending wear-resistant plate, try not to use preheating method to process. Because the hardness of Hardox400 is much lower than that of hardox500, it is not particularly difficult to process. However, if the bending angle is large, chamfering can be done in advance to prevent the wear plate from cracking. If the curvature is too large, or the equipment can not roll, it can be preheated properly.
